Atono — MCP server for Claude Code: team product context in your AI
Feeds your coding assistant the team's user stories, bugs, epics and glossary. Handy when the assistant codes blind without product knowledge.
claude mcp add --env X_API_KEY=<X_API_KEY> --transport stdio atono -- docker run -i --rm -e X_API_KEY docker.io/atonoio/atono-mcp-server:1.1.1What Atono does
The server hands the assistant what your team already tracks: user stories, bug reports, epics and a term glossary. Through MCP those records land in the conversation, so suggestions rest on actual work items. Instead of guessing from repository files alone, the assistant writes with the task in view.
It runs as a container, docker.io/atonoio/atono-mcp-server:1.1.1, so Docker has to be on the machine first. Access goes through a key you pass as X_API_KEY when you register the server.
Registration differs by tool. Claude and Codex take a one-line claude mcp add or codex mcp add call, while Cursor and GitHub Copilot expect a JSON block under mcpServers or servers. Leave the key out and the server never reaches your data.
What it helps with
- pull a user story into the chat so the assistant codes to spec
- surface open bugs while working on a fix
- check the team glossary before naming things in code
- show a full epic to see the task boundaries
Example prompts for the agent
- Pull the login epic from Atono and split it into tasks for me.
- Find the open payment bugs in Atono and tell me what to fix first.
- Check which Atono glossary terms I got wrong in this file.
