Atera MCP — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects an agent to Atera RMM and PSA, with a local SQLite mirror for fleet health, SLA, and book-of-business questions.
Open on GitHubWhat Atera MCP does
Atera MCP exposes Atera RMM and PSA endpoints to an MCP agent. It also includes a local SQLite mirror that can answer fleet-health, SLA, and book-of-business questions requiring data from several records rather than one API request.
The server is listed for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed. Installation places atera-cli and atera-mcp in the user bin path; authentication comes next, followed by a check with atera-cli --version.
Do not use this build’s HTTP transport. It has no password, binds across the machine’s network interfaces, and a browser page can call it. Keep the default stdio transport when Atera credentials are involved.
What it helps with
- inspect the health of a device fleet
- compare Atera records with SLA data
- summarize the book of business
- connect Atera to an MCP agent
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the device fleet and flag SLA issues.
- Prepare a book-of-business summary from Atera data.
- Connect Atera through MCP and show the available actions with
atera-cli --help.
