aml — MCP server for Claude Code: address and payment screening
An MCP server that checks addresses and payments before they execute. Agents get a verdict (clear, caution, risky), a risk score, and proof — no black-box scoring.
claude mcp add --transport http aml https://oceanalt.com/api/mcpWhat aml does
aml connects to OceanAlt and gives your agent tools to verify payments before money moves. Call screen_address before any transfer — it returns clear, caution, or risky with a 0–100 risk score and clickable evidence. The server includes deep address screening, transaction-intent decoding (so your agent doesn't sign an approval disguised as a payment), payment-request verification, and USDT taint tracing on Tron up to three hops deep.
Most tools are free and need no API key. Paid functions (compliance_decision at $0.002 per call and batch_screen at $0.01) use x402 — sign one USDC authorization and pay on top of it. They require @x402/core, @x402/evm, and viem in your MCP environment, and you pass a low-balance wallet's private key as OCEANALT_PAYER_KEY. The service signs locally, never sees your key, and never holds your funds.
The server runs on eight EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche), Tron, and Solana. Responses default to English but support Chinese via lang: "zh". Branch on language-independent signal keys (list.mixer, taint.onehop), not prose — keys stay constant across language changes.
What it helps with
- Screen a recipient address against sanctions and prior incidents before payment
- Confirm the agent is signing a real payment, not a hidden token approval
- Detect a spoofed or phishing payment request before the agent sends money
- Gather all screening evidence into one signed receipt
- Verify multiple addresses in a single batch call
Example prompts for the agent
- Before payment, screen this address: check 0xABC123… and give me the verdict with proof
- Decode this transaction on Solana — make sure it's a real payment, not a SetAuthority call
- Verify this payment request — I got a 402 response from the seller's page and need to confirm it's not tampered with

Which tools cost money and which are free?
Most are free: address screening, intent checking, request verification. Paid ones are compliance_decision ($0.002) and batch_screen ($0.01). Both need a wallet key and either a credits pack or a signed USDC approval on Base mainnet.
