sumsub-create-transaction — Claude Code skill: how to install
Sends financial transfers and user security events to Sumsub KYT monitoring. It helps verify compliance rules and test Travel Rule payloads directly via sandbox.
npx skills add sumsub/agent-skills --skill sumsub-create-transaction -a claude-codeWhat sumsub-create-transaction does
This skill converts a concise transaction spec into a full payload via build_transaction.py and dispatches it with post_transaction.sh. It handles fiat transfers, crypto payments with chain details, and security events like account logins or 2FA resets. When the applicant does not exist, the helper posts to an onboarding endpoint that provisions them automatically.
The tooling signs the resolved path along with query parameters and calculates monitoring scores. After sending the data, it outputs the generated identifier, risk score, reviewAnswer, and a direct link to the sandbox dashboard inside Sumsub Cockpit.
Execution requires SUMSUB_APP_TOKEN and SUMSUB_SECRET_KEY credentials. Production keys cannot be used: the post script strictly refuses tokens that do not begin with the sbx: prefix.
What it helps with
- test KYT compliance rules with dummy fiat or crypto transfers
- submit Travel Rule records for AML transaction screening
- record account takeover signals like password or 2FA resets
- create an applicant profile on the fly while posting their first transfer
Example prompts for the agent
- Submit an outgoing 500 USD transfer for externalUserId user_104 and check KYT score
- Post a test crypto payment on ETH chain with contract details to verify Travel Rule
- Log a password-reset platform event for applicant user_581 in Sumsub sandbox

Questions about sumsub-create-transaction
How to install sumsub-create-transaction in Claude Code?
Run npx skills add sumsub/agent-skills --skill sumsub-create-transaction -a claude-code.
Can this skill run against production Sumsub environments?
No, production tokens are blocked. The request helper refuses any SUMSUB_APP_TOKEN value unless it begins with the sbx: sandbox prefix.
How does it handle transactions for applicants that do not exist yet?
Specify _levelName instead of an applicant ID, and the endpoint creates the applicant profile on the fly using applicant.externalUserId.
