Amazing Marvin (complete) — Claude Code MCP server
Connects the Amazing Marvin task manager to your assistant using 50 tools. Handy for scheduling tasks, logging habits, and tracking time via chat.
claude mcp add --env MARVIN_API_TOKEN=<MARVIN_API_TOKEN> --env MARVIN_FULL_ACCESS_TOKEN=<MARVIN_FULL_ACCESS_TOKEN> --env MARVIN_TIMEZONE=<MARVIN_TIMEZONE> --transport stdio amazing-marvin-complete -- uvx amazing-marvin-complete-mcpWhat Amazing Marvin (complete) does
This MCP server exposes 50 tools mapping to 38 public endpoints in Amazing Marvin. It covers creating and completing tasks, recurring items, notebooks, habit logs, and time blocks. The integration intentionally omits attachment downloads and bulk reminder wipes. Decision logic for Smart Lists stays inside Marvin itself.
The server runs on Python 3.12+ through uvx. Authentication uses two distinct secrets from the Marvin API settings page. A standard MARVIN_API_TOKEN permits reading and creating tasks. Modifying items, changing priorities, deleting records, and configuring categories require MARVIN_FULL_ACCESS_TOKEN. Without that second secret, write calls will fail.
What it helps with
- create and mark tasks or projects complete in Amazing Marvin
- start and stop time tracking on active work items
- log habit completions and inspect habit records
- create and update notebook pages or sections
Example prompts for the agent
- Show my tasks scheduled for today in Amazing Marvin.
- Start tracking time on the database migration task.
- Create a new page in my work notebook with meeting notes.
