Four years ago, I deposited a total of €500, split across five deposits. With my last deposit, I managed to make around €500 in winnings. Of course, when I tried to withdraw, I was unable to do so because I am French. At the time, €500 was a significant amount of money for me. I was gambling far too much, and I was aware of it. When I saw that my account was at risk of being restricted, I made a mistake: I changed my nationality to Norwegian. As soon as I did that, my account was frozen.I fully acknowledge that what I did was wrong. I have admitted my mistake, and I take responsibility for it. However, I never submitted fake documents or attempted to forge any identification. I simply changed the nationality stated on my account. What I find particularly frustrating is that I would have been willing to accept a partial refund of my deposits. Instead, it seems that I am being treated as if I were some kind of criminal simply because I used a VPN and provided incorrect information. This situation also raises a legitimate question: if my nationality and eligibility to play were such a serious issue, why was this not properly verified before accepting my deposits?I understand that casinos have rules, and I accept that I broke some of them. But I also believe there should be some degree of fairness and accountability on the casino's side. Keeping all of a customer's deposits while refusing to consider any form of partial refund feels extremely unfair, especially when the identity and eligibility checks apparently only become an issue when the customer tries to withdraw.I made a mistake, and I understand it. But that does not mean I should simply lose everything without any consideration of the circumstances. This experience has completely changed my view of BitStarz. It feels like there is no human consideration behind the decisions — only money. If you're considering playing online, do your own research carefully and understand the withdrawal and KYC rules before depositing. Personally, after this experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.Kynd.
