signature-request — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Prepares documents for electronic signature, runs a pre-signing checklist, and configures signer routing. Useful when finalized contracts are ready for execution.
npx skills add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins --skill signature-request -a claude-codeWhat signature-request does
The skill accepts finalized documents as PDF or DOCX files, links to cloud storage, or text references. It runs a pre-signature checklist to verify that redlines are closed and exhibits are attached. The agent also checks legal entity names against authorized signatories.
Next, the skill configures signers, roles, and signing order. The sequence can run sequentially or in parallel. If an electronic signature integration is active, the skill creates the envelope and sets required fields. Without an active integration, it produces instructions for manual or wet signatures.
This command assists workflow steps but does not provide legal advice. That makes manual review of final terms mandatory. The most common pitfall remains incorrect legal entity names.
What it helps with
- verify contract readiness using a pre-signature checklist
- set up sequential or parallel signing order
- prepare signature instructions for manual execution
- create an electronic signature envelope with required fields
Example prompts for the agent
- /signature-request Master_Services_Agreement.docx
- /signature-request Mutual_NDA.pdf
