draft-offer — Claude Code skill: offer letter and comp package
Builds a full comp package and the offer letter text once a candidate reaches the offer stage.
npx skills add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins --skill draft-offer -a claude-codeWhat draft-offer does
The skill takes role and title, level, location, base salary, equity, signing bonus, start date and hiring manager. It returns a compensation table with first-year total, terms of employment, a benefits summary, the complete offer letter text and notes for the hiring manager on negotiation. Missing details are not a blocker — the skill helps you think them through.
Anyone hiring without an HR ops team behind them will get the most out of it. The equity section is worth a look: the skill asks for share count, valuation method and vesting schedule, because candidates compare the whole package rather than base alone.
With an HRIS or ATS connected, it pulls comp band data for the level, verifies headcount approval, fills in benefits and updates the offer status in the pipeline. Without them you type all of that in yourself.
What it helps with
- assemble a full comp package with base, equity and bonus
- write the offer letter text for a specific role
- prepare negotiation talking points for the hiring manager
- lay out terms of employment without dropping a section
Example prompts for the agent
- Draft an offer for a Senior Backend Engineer, base 180000, start next month
- Build the comp package for a Staff designer based in Berlin
- Write the offer letter and negotiation notes for the hiring manager
