What recipe-save-email-to-doc does

This skill searches Gmail for a message, retrieves its content, and creates a new Google Doc. The document includes the sender, subject, and email body. The search can use conditions such as a subject and sender address.

It runs gws gmail users messages list, gws gmail users messages get, gws docs documents create, and gws docs +write. The setup requires the gws binary plus the gws-gmail and gws-docs skills. Installations are provided for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.

Install it when an agent should move selected Gmail messages into Google Docs using a repeatable sequence. A one-off manual copy does not need this skill.

Save a Gmail message body into a Google Doc for archival or reference.

## Steps

1. Find the message: `gws gmail users messages list --params '{"userId": "me", "q": "subject:important from:[email protected]"}' --format table`
