recipe-reschedule-meeting — Claude Code skill: install and usage
Moves a Google Calendar event to a new time and notifies participants. Helpful when you need to update a meeting schedule directly from the agent chat.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill recipe-reschedule-meeting -a claude-codeWhat recipe-reschedule-meeting does
This recipe changes the time of a Google Calendar event without leaving the terminal. The agent first looks up the event via gws calendar +agenda, fetches details through gws calendar events get, and patches the schedule using gws calendar events patch. It passes sendUpdates: all, so attendees get notified about the update immediately.
Execution requires the gws command-line utility and the companion gws-calendar skill. Everything relies on your existing Google Workspace setup.
Install this recipe if you manage events through the console and want an agent to handle rescheduling. Without the gws binary, this workflow will not work.
What it helps with
- reschedule a Google Calendar meeting to another time
- notify all attendees about updated event hours
- inspect agenda details to find the target event identifier
Example prompts for the agent
- Reschedule my team meeting to tomorrow afternoon and notify attendees
- Move the calendar event to a later slot
