recipe-plan-weekly-schedule — Claude Code skill: install and usage
Reviews your Google Calendar week, checks free and busy slots, and inserts events into open schedule gaps.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill recipe-plan-weekly-schedule -a claude-codeWhat recipe-plan-weekly-schedule does
This recipe defines a sequential flow for Google Calendar planning. First, the agent checks weekly events with gws calendar +agenda and queries busy slots through gws calendar freebusy query. It then inserts events like Deep Work Block into open time windows via gws calendar +insert and prints the updated agenda.
Prerequisites are strict. You must have the gws binary installed and the gws-calendar skill loaded beforehand. Install this if you automate Google Calendar via the gws CLI. Without that tool, execution fails.
What it helps with
- check the weekly schedule with
gws calendar +agenda - query free and busy slots using Google Calendar freebusy
- add blocks like Deep Work into open calendar gaps
- verify the updated schedule after scheduling events
Example prompts for the agent
- Check my Google Calendar agenda for this week and spot empty slots
- Add a Deep Work Block to my primary calendar for tomorrow afternoon
- Review the week's freebusy status and fill the gaps
