marketing-brain — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Builds a shared marketing context tree for AI agents by interviewing founders and pulling customer facts from CRM, store, and Stripe records.
npx skills add cognyai/claude-code-marketing-skills --skill marketing-brain -a claude-codeWhat marketing-brain does
Generic AI copy usually happens because agents lack company context. This skill builds an onboarding foundation containing clear target buyer profiles, product offers, brand tone examples, founder opinions, and records of past campaign failures.
When connected to Cogny's MCP gateway, the skill seeds initial metrics from HubSpot, Pipedrive, Upsales, Shopify, WooCommerce, or Stripe. If no external tools are configured, it falls back to local operation, running an interactive interview and writing Markdown documents directly into ./brain/.
Live CRM data extraction depends entirely on a paid Cogny account and working MCP integrations. Without that subscription, you must supply every buyer detail manually during the question-and-answer run.
What it helps with
- extract ideal buyer criteria from won deals and billing history
- document company tone of voice with concrete approved and rejected samples
- track expensive past campaign mistakes so future agents do not repeat them
- maintain a unified context repository across multiple autonomous agents
Example prompts for the agent
- /marketing-brain build
- /marketing-brain section voice
- /marketing-brain review
