lead-qualification — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Research a prospect against your ideal customer profile, review company details and get a suggested next step. Use it for a single lead or a list.
npx skills add cognyai/claude-code-marketing-skills --skill lead-qualification -a claude-codeWhat lead-qualification does
The skill starts by establishing an ideal customer profile, including factors such as industry, company size, region and buyer role. It then researches people and companies on the public web, assesses fit and prepares a recommended next step. For multiple leads, it also produces a comparison table. If you have not supplied a profile, it can draft one from a company website and ask you to confirm it before scoring.
With a Cogny workspace connected, the skill can check CRM records in HubSpot, Upsales or Pipedrive, plus company interaction with LinkedIn ads through Fibbler. These checks are read-only; the skill will not create or change CRM records. Pipedrive checks depend on finding an organization, and deal lookup uses its organization ID. Without Cogny, the research uses public sources, so CRM status and ad-engagement signals are out of scope.
What it helps with
- check a lead against an ideal customer profile
- research a contact’s role and company
- find an existing CRM contact or deal
- look for evidence of paid advertising activity
- compare several leads and choose a follow-up
