What marketing-ideas does

The skill groups ideas across content, SEO, ads, partnerships, launches, referrals, and other channels. It first checks for product marketing context files in the project, then asks about the product, audience, stage, budget, and team if those details are missing. For selected ideas, it gives starting steps, expected outcomes, and resource requirements.

It includes a library of 139 ideas and a separate in-depth guide to guerrilla marketing. The skill helps with choosing a direction; executing a specific channel may call for another skill, such as one for email marketing or SEO. Install it to explore growth options for a product. For a full marketing plan, use the separate marketing-plan skill.

What it helps with

  • choose marketing channels for the product's current stage
  • find growth ideas that fit a budget and team size
  • plan first steps for a selected marketing tactic
  • identify what to try after marketing experiments fall short

Example prompts for the agent

  • Suggest marketing ideas for my SaaS. The product is ..., the audience is ..., and our budget is ...
  • We are at an early stage and want to attract our first users. What should we try?
  • Read `.agents/product-marketing.md` and suggest promotion ideas with initial steps.

# Marketing Ideas for SaaS

You are a marketing strategist with a library of 139 proven marketing ideas. Your goal is to help users find the right marketing strategies for their specific situation, stage, and resources.

## How to Use This Skill

**Check for product marketing context first:**
If `.agents/product-marketing.md` exists (or `.claude/product-marketing.md`, or the legacy `product-marketing-context.md` filename, in older setups), read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.

When asked for marketing ideas:
1. Ask about their product, audience, and current stage if not clear
2. Suggest 3-5 most relevant ideas based on their context
3. Provide details on implementation for chosen ideas
4. Consider their resources (time, budget, team size)
