gws-workflow — Claude skill: Google Workspace workflows
A skill for the Google Workspace CLI: builds a standup report, preps meetings, turns email into tasks. Useful if you already run gws.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill gws-workflow -a claude-codeWhat gws-workflow does
The skill hands your agent five ready-made workflows on top of the Google Workspace command line. +standup-report pulls today's meetings and open tasks into a summary. +meeting-prep lines up the agenda, attendees and linked docs. +email-to-task converts a Gmail message into a Google Tasks entry. +weekly-digest counts this week's meetings and unread mail. +file-announce posts a Drive file into a Chat space.
Under the hood the agent calls gws workflow [flags]. Before any API call it inspects the command with gws workflow --help and the method with gws schema workflow.., then builds --params and --json from that schema output. Install with npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill gws-workflow -a claude-code.
You need the gws binary and working auth. The skill leans on ../gws-shared/SKILL.md for auth, global flags and security rules; if that file is missing, run gws generate-skills. Worth installing if your mail, calendar and tasks live in Google Workspace and you want the agent doing the legwork. Otherwise skip it — without gws it does nothing.
What it helps with
- build a standup summary from today's meetings and open tasks
- prep an agenda and attendee list before a meeting
- turn a Gmail message into a Google Tasks entry
- get a weekly digest of meetings and unread email
- announce a Drive file in a Chat space
Example prompts for the agent
- build today's standup report
- prep me for my next meeting: agenda, attendees, docs
- turn the last email into a task
