gws-modelarmor-create-template — Claude Code skill: install & usage
Creates Google Model Armor templates in GCP to filter user-generated content. Useful when configuring jailbreak defenses via the gws CLI.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill gws-modelarmor-create-template -a claude-codeWhat gws-modelarmor-create-template does
The skill executes gws modelarmor +create-template to set up security templates in Google Cloud Platform. These templates define safety checks for AI prompts and responses. If you do not specify --preset or --json, it defaults to the jailbreak preset.
Running the command requires the gws binary and valid credentials configured via gws-shared. You can pass custom template configuration directly through the --json flag. Because this is a write operation in GCP, the assistant must confirm the action before executing it.
Install this skill if you configure Model Armor resources directly through an AI assistant. Skip it if you manage GCP infrastructure through Terraform or the Cloud Console.
What it helps with
- create a Model Armor template in a target GCP project and region
- apply the default jailbreak safety preset to incoming prompts
- pass custom JSON configuration to define security template rules
- prepare template IDs for sanitize-prompt and sanitize-response commands
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a Model Armor template named my-tmpl in project my-gcp-project and us-central1 using the jailbreak preset
- Run gws modelarmor +create-template with custom JSON for project sec-prod
