mcp-server · wealthapi-eu — Claude Code MCP server for wealthAPI
Connect wealthAPI to an AI assistant to inspect accounts, spending, investments, and dividends. A personal read-scope API token is required.
claude mcp add --env BEARER_TOKEN=<BEARER_TOKEN> --env LOG_LEVEL=<LOG_LEVEL> --transport stdio wealthapi-eu-mcp-server -- npx -y @wealth_api/mcp-serverWhat mcp-server does
This server gives an assistant tools for querying wealthAPI, including balance history, recurring payments, portfolio returns, risk figures, and dividend records. It also provides guided analyses such as a savings-rate check and a subscription audit. Every tool is read-only.
The Node.js process communicates with its MCP client over stdio and sends requests to the wealthAPI REST API. You need a bearer token with read access to accounts, investments, transactions, and profile data. Set it as BEARER_TOKEN; requests cannot be authorized without it.
What it helps with
- review recurring charges
- compare monthly income with spending
- track portfolio value over time
- identify the strongest and weakest investments
- check dividend history and upcoming payments
Example prompts for the agent
- Compare my income and spending month by month.
- Which investments lost the most value?
- Show my dividend history and next payment dates.
