Tapetide - Indian Stock Market MCP — Claude Code MCP Server
Connects AI assistants to NSE and BSE quotes, quarterly reports, and a stock screener. Useful for tracking more than 8,200 Indian equities and options directly in chat.
claude mcp add --transport http stock-research-mcp https://mcp.tapetide.com/mcpWhat Tapetide - Indian Stock Market MCP does
This server exposes 55 tools covering equities traded on India's NSE and BSE. It feeds an LLM with live quotes, technical indicators, filings, and balance sheets across 8,200 stocks. The toolset also inspects option chains, implied volatility, FII/DII activity, and active IPO applications.
Deployment works in two modes. Remote setups hit https://mcp.tapetide.com/mcp through Google OAuth or Bearer headers. Local setups run over stdio using npx or uvx. For local operation, Node.js 18+ and an active TAPETIDE_TOKEN are mandatory. The process immediately fails if that environment variable is missing.
What it helps with
- retrieve real-time quotes for NSE and BSE equities
- screen Indian stocks using fundamental ratios
- inspect option chains and implied volatility levels
- track quarterly financial filings alongside FII and DII flows
Example prompts for the agent
- Fetch the latest quarterly financial results and ratios for Reliance on NSE.
- Screen BSE stocks using return on equity metrics and summarize recent FII flows.
