mcp-server · stackscan — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Look up a domain’s technologies and the company behind it. Use the server from Claude Code or another supported MCP client.
claude mcp add --env STACKSCAN_API_TOKEN=<STACKSCAN_API_TOKEN> --env STACKSCAN_TENANT_ID=<STACKSCAN_TENANT_ID> --env STACKSCAN_SESSION_LOOKUP_CAP=<STACKSCAN_SESSION_LOOKUP_CAP> --transport stdio stackscan-mcp-server -- npx -y @stackscan/mcp-serverWhat mcp-server does
Ask which technologies a site uses, who runs it, or how widely a particular technology appears across websites. For a single domain, the server returns technologies with their categories. Batch lookups compare several domains, while company lookups can return details such as industry, city, country, and LinkedIn.
You’ll need a StackScan API token and workspace UUID. The server runs through npx -y @stackscan/mcp-server, with credentials passed when you add it to Claude Code. Paid lookups count toward a session cap of 25 by default. A batch that would exceed the remaining cap is rejected as a whole, so check your available credits before sending a large lookup.
