SignaTrust — Claude Code MCP server: signing and setup
Connect an AI assistant to SignaTrust to send documents for signing, manage templates, and check Solana anchors. Useful when these tasks need to run from your coding client.
claude mcp add --env SIGNATRUST_API_KEY=<SIGNATRUST_API_KEY> --env SIGNATRUST_API_URL=<SIGNATRUST_API_URL> --transport stdio signatrust -- npx -y @signatrust/mcp-serverWhat SignaTrust does
SignaTrust connects an AI assistant to the SignaTrust e-signature API. Its tools can upload documents, create signing envelopes, check their status, browse templates, retrieve signed files, analyze contracts, and assemble evidence. Blockchain anchor verification uses Solana.
When creating an envelope, choose STANDARD, VERIFIED, or CERTIFIED; the latter two add identity checks. Available tools depend on the scopes assigned to the API key. SIGNATRUST_API_KEY is required, so the server cannot connect without it; document uploads also require the documents:write scope.
What it helps with
- send an uploaded document for signature
- check the status of pending envelopes
- create an envelope from a template
- verify a document's Solana anchor
- retrieve an envelope's evidence bundle
Example prompts for the agent
- Upload
~/Documents/nda.pdfand send it to Alice for signing withVERIFIEDsecurity. - Verify the Solana anchor for envelope
env_abc123and return its composite hash.

Questions about SignaTrust
How do I install SignaTrust in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add mcp-server -e SIGNATRUST_API_KEY=<SIGNATRUST_API_KEY> -- npx -y @signatrust/mcp-server. Replace <SIGNATRUST_API_KEY> with your SignaTrust API key.
What does SignaTrust do?
It gives an AI assistant tools to send documents for signing, manage templates, and verify Solana anchors. It can also analyze a contract and retrieve an evidence bundle.
Which API key scopes does SignaTrust need?
Scopes depend on the tools you use: uploads need documents:write, while creating envelopes needs envelopes:write. Anchor verification and evidence retrieval use envelopes:read.
