sports-betting-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Connects an AI agent to sports picks, odds, injury reports, and line changes. Use it to inspect games across NBA, NHL, NCAAB, and MLB.
claude mcp add --env SPORTS_BETTING_API_URL=<SPORTS_BETTING_API_URL> --env SPORTS_BETTING_API_KEY=<SPORTS_BETTING_API_KEY> --transport stdio sports-betting-mcp -- uvx sports-betting-mcpWhat sports-betting-mcp does
The server exposes 12 MCP tools for picks, game analysis, current odds, and performance data. Ask for the day's top pick, review unresolved picks, or check win rates by sport and bet type. Its analysis combines input from 12 specialized agents. Picks are recorded before a game starts and checked against the final score.
You need Python 3.10+ and an API key set as SPORTS_BETTING_API_KEY. Set the API address with SPORTS_BETTING_API_URL; authentication fails without the key. In Claude Code, add the server over stdio with claude mcp add. Some API endpoints require approved Pro access, so those requests depend on your access tier.
What it helps with
- retrieve today's picks with confidence scores
- compare live odds with reported line movement
- review a game's analysis, including injury factors
- check win rates by sport and bet type
Example prompts for the agent
- Show today's NBA picks and explain their confidence scores.
- Check current odds and any active line-movement alerts.
- Analyze the Lakers vs. Celtics game and summarize the model's pick.
