Samsung Notes — MCP server for Claude Code: read your notes
Lets your agent work with the Samsung Notes library on your computer: search it, read handwriting, open attachments and PDFs. Notes stay untouched.
claude mcp add samsung-notes -- npx -y samsung-notes-mcpWhat Samsung Notes does
The server reads Samsung Notes files (.sdocx) stored on your machine. It searches the library, pulls handwritten text out of page images, opens invoice photos and PDFs, and writes renamed copies of attachments into a folder. Nothing is written back into your notes.
Where the notes come from depends on your system. On Windows you just open Samsung Notes once, sign in and let sync finish. On Mac and Linux you export notes from your phone into a single folder and point the server at it: in Claude Desktop that is the “Exported notes folder” setting, elsewhere you append --exports "/path/to/folder" to the command. Drop later exports into the same folder and the agent picks them up on your next question.
Node.js 20.12 or newer is required. Without it npx -y samsung-notes-mcp will not start, so check the version before you wire anything up.
What it helps with
- find one note inside a large Samsung Notes library
- turn handwritten pages into readable text
- pull invoice photos and PDFs out of notes
- save note attachments into a folder with clear names
- hand notes to an agent for a summary or a table
Example prompts for the agent

- Find the note about the supplier meeting and summarise it
- Save the attachments from the invoice note into the
invoicesfolder
