What Raygun does

The server lets an assistant search error groups and individual occurrences, retrieve stack traces with context, change an error’s status, and add investigation notes. It can also inspect deployment records and help relate new errors to a release.

Raygun hosts the MCP endpoint at https://api.raygun.com/v3/mcp, so there’s no local package to install. You need a Raygun account with an active subscription and an MCP client that supports OAuth, or a Personal Access Token. OAuth opens a browser flow for sign-in and permission approval; clients without OAuth support can use a token instead. The active subscription is a prerequisite for connecting.

What it helps with

  • find errors that appeared after a release
  • retrieve a stack trace for a recurring crash
  • connect a deployment with a rise in errors
  • identify slow backend methods or database queries

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show the stack trace for the most frequent production error.
  • Which backend methods or database queries took the most time in the last 24 hours?
