What Oh My Posh Configurator does

The server exposes Oh My Posh catalog data to the AI agent, covering 103 segments across 8 categories. You can ask the assistant to arrange blocks for Git branches, battery levels, cloud providers, and development environments. It outputs ready-to-use profiles in JSON, YAML, or TOML.

The tool helps modify prompt appearances with powerline or diamond styles and injects cache parameters for slower segments. Node.js with npx must be present on the host system to run the package.

What it helps with

  • generate a prompt layout with Git and Python status indicators
  • convert existing prompt setups between JSON, YAML, and TOML
  • apply caching to slow language runtime segments
  • style terminal segments using powerline or diamond glyphs

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create an Oh My Posh config showing my Git status and active Python environment.
  • Add cache settings to every runtime segment in this prompt configuration.
  • Export my current prompt setup as a TOML file.
