What Oblique Markets does

Oblique Markets exposes tools that can fetch crypto prices, check Base transactions, research companies, extract web content, and transform text. A separate free server offers market data, provider lookup, and experiment results. Both connect over Streamable HTTP and use stateless JSON-RPC 2.0.

Paid tools charge per call. An unpaid request returns a 402 response with the exact amount; the agent must retry after payment. Payment options are x402 with USDC on Base or Solana, and MPP with pathUSD on Tempo. You’ll need a wallet for paid calls. In Claude Code, add the server with claude mcp add --transport http oblique-markets https://api.oblique.markets/mcp.

What it helps with

  • look up a cryptocurrency price
  • check a Base transaction status
  • research a company
  • extract content from a web page
  • turn text into a summary or JSON

Example prompts for the agent

  • Use crypto_price to look up the current price of Bitcoin.
  • Check this Base transaction with base_tx_status.
  • Research Acme and extract key details from its website.
