Body Lab — MCP server for Claude Code: training answers in chat
Hooks your AI assistant up to your Body Lab training, so you can ask what today's session is, why it was picked, and how the week went.
claude mcp add --transport http body-lab https://bodylab.lol/mcpWhat Body Lab does
The server lives at https://bodylab.lol/mcp; it is hosted, so nothing runs on your machine. Through it an assistant reads your prescribed session for today and tomorrow with heart-rate and power targets, the projected week, the weekly review, fitness and fatigue figures, morning resting HR, HRV, sleep and energy, step counts, measurement series, and strength work.
Some tools write. With your approval the assistant can tell Body Lab how much time you have today and which equipment is available, put a session you arranged or a strength routine you chose on the calendar, add a race or goal at priority B or C, and record lab results or body composition scans. Not everything is open: training history stays untouchable, nothing gets deleted, and an A-priority event is handled only by you inside Body Lab. Withdrawing is limited to entries the server created, and only after it reads them back to you.
A Body Lab account is required. On first connect the assistant sends you to Body Lab to sign in and approve access. Write actions need the today:write, schedule:write or events:write scope. Strength routines accept only exercises from Body Lab's own catalogue; anything else comes back refused with suggestions.
What it helps with
- see today's prescribed session and the reasoning behind it
- check overnight HRV, resting heart rate and sleep before training
- add a club ride or a run with a friend to the plan's calendar
- file a lab report from a PDF or a photo into Body Lab
- review last week's load against the prescribed band
Example prompts for the agent
- What is my session today and why was it chosen?
- How did last week go, load and strength included?
- Put my chosen strength routine on Friday's calendar
