Norwegian Company Data — Claude Code MCP server
Wires the open Brønnøysundregistrene register into your assistant: company search, accounts, officers, groups.
claude mcp add --transport http norwegian-companies https://tools.skaidigital.com/brreg/mcpWhat Norwegian Company Data does
Six tools ship with this server. search_norwegian_companies filters firms by industry, municipality, legal form, headcount, registration date, website pattern and revenue. get_norwegian_company pulls one profile by organisation number, covering contact details, activity, the CEO, the board, auditor, accountant and the latest revenue and profit figures. Financials run up to three years with growth, operating margin and equity ratio; a separate tool maps the corporate group and ownership shares. Two more handle SN2025 industry codes from plain words and company websites, including the platform each site runs on.
No API key, no account. The data comes from the open Brønnøysund APIs under NLOD 2.0. The endpoint is https://tools.skaidigital.com/brreg/mcp, streamable HTTP with no auth. Hosting is closed-source; the repository carries client configuration only.
Revenue is not indexed in the register, so that filter walks candidates page by page. Tighten the employee bounds to land inside the range you want. Person roles arrive without birth dates. Requests are capped per client and overall to keep the service free. SN2007 codes match nothing in the register now, so stick to SN2025.
What it helps with
- find Oslo retail firms of a given size
- check revenue and profit for an organisation number
- map a corporate group and its ownership shares
- turn an English word into an SN2025 industry code
- identify which platform a company site runs on
Example prompts for the agent
- Show the CEO and board for organisation number 996576027 and how revenue moved over three years.
- Find the websites for these five companies and tell me the platform each one uses.

Questions about Norwegian Company Data
How do I install Norwegian Company Data in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http norwegian-companies https://tools.skaidigital.com/brreg/mcp.
What does Norwegian Company Data do?
It searches the Brønnøysundregistrene register and returns company profiles, accounts, officers, groups and websites. It runs as a remote MCP server and needs no key.
Why is the revenue filter slow?
The register does not index revenue, so the server checks candidates one page at a time. Narrowing by employee count inside your range helps.
