TractorScope — Claude Code MCP server: SQL dashboards
Hosted MCP server for TractorScope: your agent reads dashboards, runs SQL against connected databases and builds charts.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://api.tractorscope.com/mcpWhat TractorScope does
TractorScope is a SQL dashboard builder, and this server hands its features to an AI client. The agent can list databases, inspect schemas, browse dashboards and folders, then create or edit charts, filters and alerts and pull chart data. Everything happens inside your own account.
There is nothing to install. The endpoint is https://api.tractorscope.com/mcp, it speaks streamable HTTP and signs in with OAuth 2.1 using PKCE and dynamic client registration. During consent you pick read-only or read-and-write access. Connections are listed and can be revoked under MCP Server in the app settings. Database credentials never travel over the connection.
Each tool carries annotations: whether it reads, whether it writes, and whether a write can delete something. Clients use that to auto-approve reads and ask before the rest. query_database accepts SELECT statements only and stops at 1,000 rows, so wide selections need aggregation in the query itself.
What it helps with
- find dashboards that mention revenue
- run a SQL query against a connected database from chat
- turn weekly order counts into a line chart
- recolour series on an existing chart
- set an alert when failed payments spike
Example prompts for the agent
- Which dashboards mention revenue? Open the quarterly one and walk me through each chart.
- Query the orders database for weekly counts over the last twelve weeks and add a line chart to the Sales dashboard.
