Mycelium Emissions Database — Claude Code MCP server for carbon data
An MCP server that lets your assistant look up company carbon emissions: search, Mycelium Scores and per-scope figures. Handy when climate data has to land in the answer.
claude mcp add --transport http emissions-database https://mycelium.global/mcp/serverWhat Mycelium Emissions Database does
The server is hosted at https://mycelium.global/mcp/server over streamable HTTP. There is no auth — access is anonymous with a per-IP rate limit, so pasting the URL into any MCP client is enough. No key, no signup.
Three tools come with it. search-entities matches companies by name, takes an optional ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country filter, and hands back the slug the other tools expect. get-entity-profile returns registration details, a Mycelium Score from 0 to 10 with industry rank, a Transparency Score, and a year-by-year emissions summary in tonnes CO2e. get-emission-figures opens up one reporting year in the OpenCCF model, line by line per scope in kgCO2e.
Every line carries a reported or estimated tag. Keep that tag intact when you have the agent write something up. An estimate from Mycelium is not the company's own disclosure, and mixing the two is the failure mode here. Leave the year out and you get the latest one on file.
What it helps with
- look up a company in the emissions database by name
- narrow results to one country
- read a Mycelium Score and industry rank
- pull Scope 1, 2 and 3 figures for a given year
- tell a company's own disclosure apart from a modelled estimate
Example prompts for the agent
- Search the Mycelium database for
Siemensand give me its slug - Show that company's profile: Mycelium Score, Transparency Score and emissions by year
- Get the Scope 1, 2 and 3 figures for 2023 and mark which are reported and which are estimated

Questions about Mycelium Emissions Database
How do I install Mycelium Emissions Database in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http mycelium-emissions-database https://mycelium.global/mcp/server. No API key is involved.
What does Mycelium Emissions Database do?
It exposes three tools to the assistant: company search, a profile with Mycelium Score, and full per-scope emissions for a reporting year. The data comes from the open Mycelium database.
What is the difference between reported and estimated figures?
Reported means the company disclosed the number itself; estimated means Mycelium modelled it. Clients should keep the two apart and never pass an estimate off as a company disclosure.
