Built in Rust with the official rmcp library, moodle-mcp ships as a standalone static binary. The tool runs against Moodle installations from version 3.7 through 5.x. It provides 20 typed operations. It runs without a browser.
The binary handles document conversions locally, turning HTML and PDF files into clean markdown. Tools consume local filesystem paths rather than base64 payloads. Homework submissions remain drafts until confirmed.
Your institution must have the mobile web service enabled, or authentication will fail. The server intentionally lacks any tool for answering quizzes.
