mcp-omnisearch — Claude Code MCP server: search and install
Combines web search, sourced AI answers, GitHub search, and webpage extraction. Use it when an agent needs to gather information from several services.
claude mcp add mcp-omnisearch -- npx -y mcp-omnisearchWhat mcp-omnisearch does
The server exposes four tools. web_search searches with Tavily, Brave, Kagi, or Exa; ai_search returns sourced answers through Exa Answer, Linkup, or Tavily Research. For Tavily Research, provide the task ID to retrieve its report. The other tools search GitHub code, repositories, or users, and extract or crawl webpage content.
Set credentials for the providers you plan to use, such as TAVILY_API_KEY or EXA_API_KEY. Providers without keys are skipped, so configured providers can keep working independently. Add the server to Claude Code with claude mcp add mcp-omnisearch -- npx -y mcp-omnisearch. To run it from source, use pnpm install and pnpm run build.

- find code and repositories on GitHub
- extract or crawl webpage content
Example prompts for the agent

- Compare REST and GraphQL and return a sourced answer with Exa Answer.
- Search GitHub code for
filename:remote.ts @sveltejs/kit.
