lighthouse-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: Lighthouse audits
Runs Google Lighthouse checks on web pages and returns scores and metrics. Use it to inspect performance, accessibility, SEO, or best practices.
claude mcp add lighthouse-mcp -- npx -y lighthouse-mcpWhat lighthouse-mcp does
The server exposes run_audit for a full page check and get_performance_score for a performance score. With a full audit, you can choose categories, emulate a phone or desktop, and switch network throttling on or off. If omitted, all categories are checked with mobile emulation and throttling enabled.
You need Node.js 22.19+ and Chrome or Chromium. Audits run serially, with a time limit for each; Chrome and the audit proxy are shut down when a run ends or fails. Loopback access is allowed by default, while private and metadata destinations are blocked. Because a page may reach services on your own machine through loopback, only audit sites you trust.
What it helps with
- get a performance score for a page
- check a site’s accessibility and SEO
- run an audit with desktop or mobile emulation
- choose which Lighthouse categories to inspect
- compare checks with network throttling enabled or disabled
