Hudu MCP — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Connects Hudu to an MCP-capable agent with API commands, an offline SQLite mirror, and cross-entity audits. Built for agent-driven Hudu work.
Open on GitHubWhat Hudu MCP does
Hudu MCP connects Hudu to an agent through an MCP server and exposes the Hudu API command set. The package includes hudu-cli, hudu-mcp, an offline SQLite mirror, checks across related entities, and output formatted for agent use. It can also be wired into Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Cline, and Zed.
For Claude Code, install the plugin from the marketplace. Authenticate after installation, then check the CLI with hudu-cli --version. The local server uses the default stdio transport.
Do not use HTTP mode. This build accepts no password there, listens on every network interface, and lets an opened web page reach the server. MCP tools can act with your credentials, so a remote tunnel should remain shut down.
What it helps with
- run Hudu API commands from an agent
- audit relationships between Hudu entities
- keep an offline SQLite mirror of Hudu data
- verify the CLI with
hudu-cli --version
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me the available Hudu operations through
hudu-cli. - Audit related Hudu entities and return the findings in agent-readable output.
- Use the offline SQLite mirror to inspect Hudu data without calling the API.
