HasData — Claude Code MCP server: scraping and search tools
Wires HasData's data tools into your agent: search engines, maps, marketplaces, jobs. You describe the task in plain words; no scraping code on your side.
claude mcp add --transport http hasdata https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcpWhat HasData does
The endpoint is https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp over streamable HTTP. Behind it sits the HasData API: Google and Bing results, Maps, Trends, Scholar, flights and hotels, marketplace products, job boards. Which tools you get depends on the apis query parameter, for instance https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=amazon,google_maps.
You sign in with OAuth through a HasData account in the browser, or pass an x-api-key header holding a key from the HasData dashboard. Anything else gets 401 Unauthorized, so pick a method before the first call. In Claude, add the server, then run claude mcp login hasdata or choose Authenticate from /mcp.
Some calls hand back identifiers such as placeId for Maps, and the agent feeds them into the next request. Loading every tool is optional. Trim the set with apis when you only need one or two sites and your agent keeps a cleaner context.
What it helps with
- pull Google search results without writing a scraper
- track a product's price on a marketplace over several days
- gather place reviews from Maps and summarise them
- collect engineering job listings across two boards for one city
- check weekly Google Trends interest for a topic
Example prompts for the agent
- Find well-rated Italian restaurants in Chicago on Google Maps and summarise reviews for the top three
- Gather software engineer job posts in Berlin from Indeed and Glassdoor
- Check Google Trends for “AI agents” this week
