Fuse — Claude Code MCP server: .NET checks and setup
Fuse checks edited C# code for new compiler errors and runs tests affected by changes. It fits agent-driven work in .NET solutions.
Open on GitHubWhat Fuse does
Fuse keeps solution projects loaded and reports compiler errors introduced since the last commit. It also traces changes into dependent projects and selects tests that may be affected. Output stays brief: a summary with errors or failing tests.
For Claude Code, Fuse registers hooks. Its fuse mcp command exposes fuse_check, fuse_test, and fuse_build to an MCP host over stdio. Agents in one repository share a process, and checks run in sequence. So concurrent checks in that repository have to wait their turn.
You need the .NET 10 SDK, restored projects, and a Git repository with at least one commit. Install the global tool with dotnet tool install -g Fuse, then run fuse init from the repository root. Fuse does not run dotnet restore itself and checks C# only; use fuse build for a full build or fuse test --all to run every test.
What it helps with
- catch compiler errors caused by recent edits
- trace broken callers across dependent projects
- run tests affected by a code change
- build a solution and print its errors with
fuse build
Example prompts for the agent
- Check which compiler errors my latest edits introduced.
- Run the tests affected by my C# changes.
- Build the solution and report errors with
fuse build.
