This is a hosted HTTP server, so nothing runs on your machine. Point the client at https://mcp.flexreportfinapi.com/mcp and the browser handles sign-in on your first data call: register or log in, and no token gets pasted anywhere.
The tools cover separate jobs. Event subscriptions (register_event_subscription, stream_event_subscription) push publications as they land, and the report_plan topic fires when a report is ready. get_latest_report pulls a report by ticker; a fresh plan takes 10-20 s according to the README, and a symbol marked stale or missing can be rebuilt with generate_report_for_stock. Screening runs through screen_stocks, explore_data_catalogue and get_technical_indicator_data.
OAuth is not optional. Skip it and no data comes back — that is where setup usually stalls. In Claude, --scope user makes the server available in every directory instead of just the current project. The README claims 2,900+ companies and 750M+ datapoints behind the tools.
