What Fastero does

Fastero is a hosted MCP server that connects an assistant to a Fastero workspace. It can inspect available connections and tables, run read-only SQL, read agreed metric definitions, and turn saved queries into dashboards with charts, tables, and headline values.

The server also supports team invites, public read-only dashboard links, scheduled emails with PDF attachments, Streamlit deployments, and scheduled runs for notebooks or Python projects. Alerts can notify you when a metric crosses a threshold. The resulting work stays in the selected Fastero workspace.

A Fastero account is required before connecting. In Claude Code, add the remote endpoint https://api.fastero.com/api/v1/mcp; clients without OAuth can use an API key instead. Without a Fastero account, the connection cannot complete.

What it helps with

  • inspect database tables and connections
  • run a read-only SQL query
  • turn saved queries into a dashboard
  • deploy a Streamlit app
  • send a scheduled dashboard email

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show me the tables in my sales database and explain the available metric definitions.
  • Build a dashboard with revenue and orders for the last month.
  • Deploy the Streamlit app in this folder to Fastero and return its link.
