What Hitsteps Analytics and Operations does

This MCP server connects Claude Code to Hitsteps over a hosted endpoint. An agent can access analytics, live visitor activity, site availability, goals, alerts, and chats. All clients use the same managed server, so there is no local package to install.

Sign-in uses OAuth: users authenticate with Hitsteps and approve the requested scopes. The server checks account permissions and site access on each request. Write operations need their own scope, an explicit confirmation, and an idempotency key. Without those checks, an agent cannot make a change.

What it helps with

  • check current site visitors
  • retrieve Hitsteps analytics
  • inspect site availability
  • review goals and alerts
  • check site chats

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show current visitors and a summary of Hitsteps analytics.
  • Check site availability and active alerts.
  • List the configured goals and summarize activity in site chats.
