What E2LLM does

The server translates live web sessions into the SiFR format instead of dumping full DOM trees or capturing pixels. It scores page nodes by relevance, strips structural clutter, and returns an initial summary of roughly 5 to 15 KB. No local process is needed on your machine because communication runs through a remote endpoint at https://mcp.e2llm.com/mcp.

The system strictly isolates perception from execution. It provides five inspection tools such as sifr_capture, inspect, and read_page, alongside four interaction handlers like act and batch_act. It never plans next moves or loops on its own. Your host language model handles all reasoning, while the server executes single, explicit instructions.

Using the server requires an account at e2llm.com and an active browser extension to link the session. For headless or CI runs, authentication shifts to https://api.e2llm.com/mcp using a static bearer token.

What it helps with

  • extract structured page state ranked by node relevance
  • inspect specific DOM elements and their layout box dimensions
  • execute form fills, clicks, and drag events in an active browser tab
  • read page text as clean markdown in reading order

Example prompts for the agent

  • Inspect the current browser tab with sifr_capture and find the search input selector
  • Read the documentation page using read_page and summarize the installation steps
  • Fill out the login inputs and submit the form via batch_act

Questions about E2LLM

How to install E2LLM in Claude Code?

Run claude mcp add --transport http e2llm https://mcp.e2llm.com/mcp in your terminal. You must also create an account at e2llm.com and add the browser extension to pair your browser session.

What makes SiFR different from a DOM dump?

SiFR drops boilerplate scaffolding and scores elements by salience rather than dumping raw nested trees. It provides a lightweight relational representation between 5 and 15 KB designed specifically for language models.

Does E2LLM act as an autonomous agent?

It does not run independent loops or decide actions on its own. E2LLM functions purely as a perception and execution layer where the external AI directs every step.
