DebugBundle — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Exposes runtime crash records and incident data to coding agents. Useful for diagnosing production outages and checking endpoint health.
claude mcp add --env DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN=<DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN> --env DEBUGBUNDLE_API_URL=<DEBUGBUNDLE_API_URL> --transport stdio mcp -- npx -y @debugbundle/mcpWhat DebugBundle does
The stdio server lets coding assistants examine customer outages and endpoint probes without leaving the terminal. Assistants can fetch product activation data via list_analytics_flows or read aggregated metrics with get_analytics_flow_report. Project owners can also pause specific alert channels directly.
Node.js 22.x through 26.x is required. Non-interactive environments must supply DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN. Never use a project ingestion key for MCP tools, because it lacks read and management privileges. For local developer workstations, the server reuses the session generated by debugbundle login.
What it helps with
- inspect live production incidents and crash bundles
- verify endpoint uptime using scheduled probes
- retrieve aggregate reports for user activation flows
- schedule daily digest emails with local IANA timezones
Example prompts for the agent
- Check the latest production crashes and display related probe errors
- Run get_analytics_flow_report for the activation funnel
- Pause alert notifications for the primary project channel

Questions about DebugBundle
How to install DebugBundle in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add mcp -e DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN=<DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN> -- npx -y @debugbundle/mcp. Replace <DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN> with your personal member credentials.
What does DebugBundle do?
It gives coding agents direct access to debugging infrastructure, including incident reproductions, health probes, alert controls, and funnel analytics.
Which credentials does the DebugBundle MCP server require?
You need DEBUGBUNDLE_MEMBER_TOKEN or a local session created with debugbundle login. Project tokens cannot be used here because they only ingest SDK events.
