What Cypress Cloud MCP does

Coding agents cannot inspect remote CI results on their own. Cypress Cloud MCP connects Claude Code and supported IDEs to your testing cloud through the remote endpoint https://mcp.cypress.io/mcp. Your assistant reads test execution health and failure details without context switching.

Setup runs over an HTTP transport. Authentication uses OAuth by default, though you can configure a Personal Access Token in your agent's .mcp.json file. Headless terminal workflows fail on browser authentication unless you supply this token beforehand.

What it helps with

  • fetch test run outcomes and error traces directly in the editor
  • check build stability without opening a web browser
  • inspect component accessibility reports from recent runs
  • diagnose broken tests using fresh Cypress Cloud logs

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show the latest failing tests from Cypress Cloud and their errors
  • Check the build health of our latest run on branch main
  • Retrieve the accessibility summary from the most recent test run
