cluster-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Connect an agent to cluster’s financial tools for quotes, portfolio data, swaps, and memory. Useful when you want to query a cluster deployment from your IDE.
claude mcp add --env CLUSTER_API_URL=<CLUSTER_API_URL> --env CLUSTER_API_KEY=<CLUSTER_API_KEY> --env CLUSTER_WALLET=<CLUSTER_WALLET> --transport stdio cluster-mcp -- npx -y @clusteragent/cluster-mcpWhat cluster-mcp does
cluster-mcp exposes 35 tools for financial agents. It can fetch quotes and market data, value a portfolio, show payouts, and handle swaps. The repository also includes skills for research, monitoring, and memory. For a swap, the server gets a quote while your wallet signs the transaction; private keys stay off the server.
To run it with Claude Code, use npx -y @clusteragent/cluster-mcp. The stdio setup needs CLUSTER_API_URL, CLUSTER_API_KEY, and CLUSTER_WALLET; an API key is also needed for HTTP access. This repository provides the skill and MCP layer for a cluster deployment, not its backend or keeper bot, which are kept separate.
What it helps with
- fetch quotes for stock tickers
- value a wallet portfolio
- check payout information
- preview DCA or TP-SL settings
- inspect a wallet or liquidity pool
Example prompts for the agent
- Show quotes for NVDA and PONS.
- Value my portfolio and show its payouts.
- Inspect this pool and preview a DCA plan.

Questions about cluster-mcp
How do I install cluster-mcp in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add cluster-mcp -e CLUSTER_API_KEY=<CLUSTER_API_KEY> -- npx -y @clusteragent/cluster-mcp. This setup requires an API key.
What does cluster-mcp do?
It gives an agent access to 35 cluster tools for financial tasks, including quotes, portfolio data, swaps, and memory.
What does cluster-mcp need to run?
The stdio setup uses CLUSTER_API_URL, CLUSTER_API_KEY, and CLUSTER_WALLET. For swaps, the user’s wallet signs transactions; private keys are not held by the server.
