What Bitrise does

The server exposes the Bitrise API to an agent: apps, builds, artifacts and the rest. Tool definitions with parameter descriptions and output schemas live in docs/tools.md, so you can see what is queryable before wiring anything up.

Sign-in is OAuth-based. You authenticate against your Bitrise account once instead of pasting a Personal Access Token; PAT auth is still there for clients that cannot do MCP OAuth. The endpoint is https://mcp.bitrise.io/.

Setup notes are split per editor and client: VS Code, GitHub Copilot in other IDEs, Claude apps, Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, AWS Claude. The repo also doubles as a Cursor plugin through .cursor-plugin/plugin.json and mcp.json. Everything runs under your own Bitrise account, so an active account is the prerequisite.

What it helps with

  • find out why the latest iOS build failed
  • check the pass rate of main branch builds over the past week
  • add a teammate to a workspace with admin rights
  • download artifacts from a finished build
  • query app and build status without leaving the editor

Example prompts for the agent

  • Show me the last failed iOS build and explain what broke
  • Add a new member to my workspace with admin permissions
