mcp · appwrite — Appwrite MCP server for Claude Code: databases, functions
Hands your agent Appwrite's API: databases, users, functions, teams, storage. Connects over OAuth in the browser, no keys to paste.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.appwrite.io/What mcp does
The server turns Appwrite's API into tools an MCP client can call. Your agent creates a collection, lists users, deploys a function or serves files without you writing the request by hand.
In Claude the setup is claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.appwrite.io/, then /mcp, pick the server and approve access in the browser. Nothing to copy: the first connection opens an Appwrite consent screen where you grant scopes. The same server also answers at https://mcp.appwrite.io/mcp.
Some clients need a stdio bridge instead. Cline and JetBrains AI Assistant / Junie don't do OAuth for remote MCP servers yet, so those need Node.js and npx -y mcp-remote https://mcp.appwrite.io/. Antigravity insists on the serverUrl key for remote transport; with url or httpUrl tool registration fails silently, and you won't see an error.
What it helps with
- create a collection and its fields from the chat
- list and filter project users
- deploy a function and check its execution
- serve files through Appwrite storage
- set up a team and assign roles
Example prompts for the agent
- Connect the Appwrite MCP server and list my collections
- Create an
orderscollection in Appwrite withuserIdandtotalfields - Deploy the
sendEmailfunction and report its status
