agent-discover — Claude Code MCP server: install
Search MCP registries, approve an installation, and add servers during an active session without editing host config or restarting.

agent-discover runs as a local daemon that searches the official MCP Registry along with npm and PyPI. Before anything is installed, it displays the command or URL, package version, provenance details, and required variable names. The action waits for your approval.
Servers can be turned on or off while a session is running. In native mode, their tools remain available to the host’s own tool search; proxy mode routes calls through eight meta tools. Secrets go into the OS keychain, tool definitions are pinned by hashes, and a changed tool set sends the server to quarantine.
Node.js 22 or newer is required. The Claude Code mod needs Claude Code 2.1.289 or newer, while older builds retain the skills and MCP tools.
