Lassare — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Lassare routes an AI coding agent’s questions and approval requests to Slack, so you can answer from a phone while the agent keeps running.
claude mcp add --transport http lassare https://mcp.lassare.com/mcpWhat Lassare does
Lassare is an MCP server for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other compatible clients. Its ask tool sends a clarification request to Slack, while approve presents an approval or denial action for a risky step. The agent receives the reply and carries on.
The package includes hooks for supported agents. They can keep work moving between questions, intercept commands such as rm -rf, git push --force and sudo, and ask one more question before the agent stops. The intercepted-command list lives in permission-approve.sh. Unanswered questions and approvals expire after 15 minutes.
Setup requires a Lassare account, a connected Slack workspace and an API key from Agent Setup. Configuration is copied into the project by hand. Use /lassare-slack for remote questions or /lassare-inline for questions in the current conversation. Without a connected Slack workspace, remote replies have nowhere to go.
What it helps with
- route agent questions to Slack
- approve risky shell commands from a phone
- switch between Slack and inline questions
- ask for a final check before the agent stops
Example prompts for the agent
- Switch remote questions on with
/lassare-slack. - Ask me in Slack before you choose the next implementation step.
- Request approval through Lassare before running a risky command.
