What dotstell does

dotstell exposes selected parts of a personal knowledge base to Claude Code through MCP. The agent can search and read notes, bookmarks, tasks, people, and meetings. Access is read-only, and the token can be revoked.

This connection is for retrieving context from dotstell, not editing its records. Add the server with the Claude Code command below, then ask the agent to find relevant material or summarize what it can read. If your workflow depends on agents changing tasks or notes, this server’s read-only access is a limitation.

What it helps with

  • locate notes related to a project question
  • check which tasks are linked to a person
  • retrieve meeting details for an agent response
  • find relevant bookmarks in a knowledge base

Example prompts for the agent

  • Search dotstell for notes about the project launch plan and summarize what you find.
  • Find tasks and notes connected to this person in dotstell.
  • Look up the dotstell meeting where project dates were discussed and list the decisions.
