What AddCal does

AddCal connects to public calendars rather than managing your personal schedule. Its tools can create and edit events, group calendars into collections, inspect subscribers and RSVPs, and retrieve analytics. For recurring events, preview-recurring-dates lets you check the resulting dates before creating a series.

The hosted server uses HTTP and OAuth, so there is no API key to paste into your client. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http addcal https://addcal.co/mcp, then open /mcp to sign in. Some actions need explicit confirmation: deleting an event, sending an invite, and creating an RSVP. Removing a recurring event deletes the full series, so check the target before confirming. Subscriber names and email addresses are available only when a calendar collects those details.

What it helps with

  • publish an event to a public calendar
  • group calendars into a collection
  • check responses to an event RSVP
  • inspect a calendar’s subscribers
  • compare events by add-to-calendar activity

Example prompts for the agent

  • Create a public event on the team calendar and show me the dates first.
  • Find the subscribers for this calendar and check their RSVP responses.
  • Compare events by add-to-calendar activity for the selected date range.
