MGM China will pay an interim dividend of HK$0.25 ($0.032) per share on September 3rd. The total payout comes to around $122 million, representing half of the HK$1.9 billion ($244 million) profit the operator posted in the first half of the year.
The board approved the distribution after reviewing the company's financial position, cash flow and future capital requirements. MGM China will retain sufficient funds for operations, business development and investment obligations under its Macau concession.
Last August the operator declared an interim dividend of HK$0.313 ($0.040) per share, a total of HK$1.19 billion ($153 million). The current payout is lower, reflecting first-half performance.
