Traffic back— what it means in affiliate marketing

The URL that traffic is redirected to when it does not fit the main offer — wrong geo, wrong device, cap reached.

It turns otherwise wasted clicks into a second chance at revenue, usually through a smartlink. The number that matters is what the traffic-back earns, not that it exists.
